SUMMERLANDS CHUFFERS

Regner based 7/8ths" scale locos

With a 7/8ths Busybody  driver and a simple chimney cap, this Regner Vincent has become 7/8ths scale. I had to turn the regulator handle round to get the driver in and it has, of course, been fitted with an SCGP1 Summerlands Chuffer. It is seen here on a Summerlands Works Railway train hauling a large tree trunk. Daisy the trainee driver likes to get a good view of Mike at the controls.

Here is my Regner Vincent again, converted to 7/8ths scale by the addition of a driver and a chimney cap. It also has a Summerlands Chuffer of course! Here it is hauling a scratchbuilt open coach and tanker, plus a production prototype Festiniog Quarrymens' Coach which is be available from Jurassic Models  The train is running, of course, on Roy Wood's wonderful woodland railway on a breezy day and I was not filming when the lot blew of the track on the high part - partly due to quarrymen leaning out! Once I added some ballast all was OK. Also you will notice that the door handles are different as I was trying out ones made from handrail knobs.

This video is a bit of a quickie as I was just testing my Regner Vincent. It ran so well that I grabbed the camera and too a few shots - not noticing the crooked coupling until half way through. The Regner is fitted with an SCGP1 Chuffer.

Here is Vincent hauling some Summerlands General purpose wagons built from bambee plant labels (see My Projects)
