TwiWat - onwards to London!
Our attention recently has turned to route building as these shots of the forthcoming
Twickenham to London Waterloo project show
Class 73
From Guillyman and Sulzer Surfer, a set of
externals are on the way for a Class 73
Electro-diesel in GBRF, SWT, First GBRF
and BR blue liveries and possibly more!
Recent work has been the addition of cables
and other features associated with multiple
unit working at each end of the locomotive.
The textures have been enlarged and
enhanced and work is presently being
carried out to provide fully mobile bogies
with these externals.
Look out for announcements shortly...
In various stages of construction, these
road vehicles from Guillyman, Sulzer
Surfer and Eezypeazy are due to hit the
BVE highways very soon!
A selection of containers to be carried on your BVE
flat wagons, this is the work of theflyingoreo, based
upon photographs from Steve Molloy. A sample from
this package is ready and can be found in the Objects
library under the passing trains section.

Class 139 Exterior
In its early stages is this Class 139 exterior, a
product of the Parry People Mover factory in Cradley
Heath. You can follow the progress of this model as
it develops over on BVE Terminus forums, where we
hope to demonstrate just how much work and
research goes into the production of even a
relatively simple BVE object.
Driveable version, anybody...?

Cylinder Generator
On its way soon is a new nifty little utility to assist
developers in constructing cylinders for openBVE.
CylGen will allow you to build full or part cylinders,
with either inside or outside faces, and with the
option of having either a top or a bottom face too.
More importantly it will allow for the placement of a
non-symmetrical texture, thus freeing developers
from the restrictions of the BVE “Cylinder” command.
Presently being beta-tested, it will arrive on your
desktops soon...
Firstly, the addition of some scenery next
to Twickenham station has added some
realism to the view from platform 5 out
onto Mary’s Terrace
Much work has been done on adding
textures to all the trackwork rather than the
normal colours generated by the Switch
program. This has given the track a much
more realistic look. Attention has been
given also to the addition of conductor rails
with ramps, plus the lowering of faces at
the leading edges of all the rail objects in
order to eliminate that irritating z-fighting.
Platforms 1 and 2 have been completed
at St Margarets station, next down the line
from Twickenham, and lamps, signs and
benches have been added.
Progress is steady, but who ever said that
route building is a quick job...?
